Children and young people in care team – Children’s Social Work Manager
Contract Interim for 12 weeks
Location Hereford although currently staff working from home
Hours 37 hours
The team has responsibility for children who have a care plan of long-term fostering at the conclusion of care proceedings and supports children and young people until they leave care or reach the age of 15 ½. The priorities for the team are achieving permanency for children through well matched placements, assessing and supporting plans of reunification or special guardianship orders where this is in the best interests of children and ensuring children and young people are being well supported to achieve their potential and own life goals.
The team have already made great improvements and now is an exciting time for the team as we implement Signs of Safety as our new practice model. This role will lead a well -balanced team of one senior practitioner and 5 social workers where caseloads are manageable and reducing.
The team are currently working from home and may return to working in the office on a part-time basis in coming weeks. There are opportunities for flexible working arrangements to enable being mainly home based with all necessary IT equipment provided.
