The post is in the Contact and Response Service which is the first point of contact for members of the public/carers/family and professionals when they have an enquiry relating to social care needs.


There are 4 Team Leaders in the service and between them they manage the contacts that are made by phone (Duty), email/text (Duty Action), including concerns relating to safeguarding.


The staff are currently working from home but also complete visits to people homes whether unplanned or scheduled.


Each Team has a mix of qualified Social Workers and Care Management Officers who work on a rota basis.


The Team responds to contacts and explores through skilled conversations people's needs for care and support.


This includes a clear approach to strengths based working, identifying what is important to a person and working alongside them to achieve this.
